I liked the bit about the DOI using the entire allocation of sandbags to protect their own workings whilst leaving none for the residents. Speaks volumes :lol:

That’s exactly what happened the night before the flood in October last year. Fifty plus ton bags of sand were craned into the river to protect the digger (left there by the contractors), leaving the hole in the wall unprotected. No sandbags were delivered to the residents.

We all know what happened next.
