Derek Flint 4,150
No story here. ultimately, detection of crime is a small part of the job, and because it is so low here the focus should be on how the cops are performing in other areas. The overall public safety picture is more important, especially in areas such as our roads.

I hope full details are provided to our police.

Even public satisfaction has fallen. Overall, not a v good report. Must do better. I did like the tribute to Bill Malarkey though.

The fact is, the Isle of Man would be better off if we abolished the Constabulary altogether, along with the rest of the Government, and privatised everything. We don't need the police. They need us, and they need to make up stupid fictional crimes to justify their existence. I say, f off. We as an island are just the right size to be a test study in how to run a jurisdiction without any government at all. 1 1
ThreeRaccoonsInATrenchCoat 86
Any drugs that do enter the island are allowed to enter it by the Police. You read that correctly: they let it in. If they didn't, they'd be out of the job.

The Dog's Dangly Bits 1,710
When I saw the thread title and who created it I actually thought it was just a thread Neil Down could keep to himself for posting.

It happened in the US: the CIA were literally importing drugs in the coffins of dead soldiers from Vietnam, then using that money to fund Iran-Contra. Sorry if you have no clue about what goes on in the world or you have some weird belief that the Isle of Man is somehow immune from such corrupt practices.
