Anyone enquired about a grow licence and know the conditions of the licence yet? I assume this whole thing will be an attempt to have existing businesses expand/move some operations over here rather than encourage new business start up?

Why would you think that?

If it was available from a licenced outlet I wouldn't have to see my way through 240mg of codeine and 4 grams of paracetamol, plus the occasional arse full of dreadful pharmaceutical anti-inflammatory

Yeah, but it's worth it if you get 1st place in the Andreas Village Hall annual Marrow growing competition. Fair play to you

The dog has a very good union.

the greenhouse man has got a load of work to do in pully recently, it looks like crystal palace.

I think the requirements will be more

and less

The regulators will need to be sure that grows will be fully controlled for quality and auditability.

Glass houses are generally for lower grade grows, as the IOM initially is looking at medical grade for export it's implicit that high quality and provenance are a what they hope will set up apart from other jurisdictions.

It's a good thing that there regulators  for this product and hopefully DEFA collation of Veg: Hemp ratios and that licenses can be strictly limited???

Let's hope that in the near future we will still have enough Spuds and turnips for our local needs or, at least, our CBT habits  suppresses our appetites!!!

With your first point I'd argue legal recreational cannabis would actually help drug addicts and their families

Your second point, well personally I love a few drinks at the same time as a spliff and am more likely to buy something a little fancier if I'm smoking. Got no weed I may as well just nail 10 stellas.

Smoking and driving is stupid so yeah

Can't comment on the other two.

IOMG/DfE wouldn't recognise the fact that quality needs a legislative framework to go with it. DfE will wing it, as usual.

Are either of those classed as grown outdoors? It certainly suggests greenhouse rather than lab grade.

For stability and standardisation of crop and quality, it is likely that the medicinal cannabis will be grown indoors under lights and probably hydroponically. This way, heat, humidity, feed and colour of light (important) can be controlled. And of course making it easier to secure.
