It seems that the Noble's Park to Cemetary Bridge has been deemed as not needed. This should have been properly maintained instead of being left to rot, like the scoreboard. I wonder if the temporary scaffolding one is still in storage?

Talking about the score board, Why the fuck is it taking so long to knock down. According to Gov it was in such a poor state it was in danger of collapse  and killing large swathes of the population. Or has that thin covering on the fencing strengthened it so much they will have to get JCK in at a cost of £1.2million and specialized imported plant. Used to take them two weeks to dismantle and remove to storage up at the old Nissen huts  at the site called the homes, behind the old children's home. And all done by the Douglas Borough Corporation.

Seems a relatively proportionate response to the problem, after all in Ballasalla they had a traffic problem to solve which lasts for ten minutes in a morning and ten minutes in the evening ! Easily solved by building 350 houses on greenfield land and buying property and land to knock down to have a bypass ( well if they ever keep their end of the bargain) ! Just get Cregeen to champion the suspension bridge it will be great !!

A railway bridge - now that's a thought. It could be part of Nick Black's fabled Birch hill - Farmhill light railway.

A two-layer bridge with rail on the lower level and road on the top deck. A masterpiece.

A great idea, sadly it doesn't cost enough, it needs a mahoosive price ticket to even get a chance of a run by Government ! Common sense aint common and sadly in Governments eyes in nearly every way too cheap !!
