war baby
When not on Wifi my mobile always connected automatically to 4G. Now it only gets 3G. Can anybody explain why?
immortalpuppet
Sim, device or network in your area. Eliminate each of them via testing and you will find where to look or what’s causing the problem.

war baby
Well I'm not sure now. I followed puppet's ideas and 4G came back, but now it keeps going off from time to time and reverts to 3G. The answer should be in mobile data options, but it seems unstable. It never used to happen. I use an iPhone 7.
buzz
Thanks, think he’s on a iPhone X and having similar problems. I did read somewhere that a complete reset can cure it, might be worth a try.
Terminal
You must work in IT. A complete reset..yep that’ll definitely sort it. You’ll lose your entire lifetime of photos and all your settings from your phone which you’ll never be able to get back, ever, but if that doesn’t work, phone us back to us tomorrow and we’ll refer your issue to someone who knows what they’re talking about. immortalpuppet
Reset the network settings, this should then automatically pull/refresh the settings from the network if indeed that is the problem.

You couldn’t be more wrong. If you read the post properly, I said I read that somewhere. And I would guess that sensible people back up their phones so will lose nothing. So I guess you won’t be referring my question to yourself. Come back when you know what you’re talking about.
