It was quite revealing when at one of the briefings last week he spent quite a while explaining how the IOM's clinicians had debated whether to extend the period between doses, and it was a consensus

Who is talking about setting up in a cowshed?  There are plenty of nice, warm venues large enough to do this on the IOM without OTT adaptations.

Timeout. You were given a gentle hint earlier.

Are you sure Jersey had vaccinated 47.1% of adult population as of yesterday with at least one dose, have we ?

https://jerseyeveningpost.com/news/2021/03/23/jab-rollout-to-pass-50000-milestone/

We’ve hit 43,000 jabs. 29,000 first doses and 14,000 second doses. The Jersey stats are calculated using adult (18 & + ) population, 88,000. Ours is 70,000. So we are at 41.5%.

However Jersey claim to be ahead, as follows.

The total number of doses administered by 17 March in Jersey equated to 45.2 doses for every 100 people, putting the Island ahead of neighbouring jurisdictions: the UK figure for the same date was 40.7, while the figures for 18 March for Guernsey and the Isle of Man were 42.1 and 39.2 doses per 100 people respectively.

The maths is wrong. IOM has delivered over 50 doses per 100 people. ( we are a week on so that will have changed things - a bit ). There isn’t much to choose between UK and the CD.

You're mistaken John.

It's going terribly here.   Do you not listen to Banker?

Jersey is slightly ahead on first doses, we are miles ahead of them on second doses. 16% of the entire population have had both doses. 32% of the entire population have had one dose. Both hubs will be at full capacity again tomorrow, Friday and Saturday.

Doesn't matter because we have the vast majority of our most vulnerable protected with two doses. Jersey and Guernsey will be playing catch up for weeks. They are vaccinating less people per week than us.

Is it just my crappy old computer or is the vaccine dashboard broken?

A conspiracy theorist might think they turned it off to hide how slow they were this week.

Its not showing any vaccine stock when I look at it.

Perhaps somebody unplugged the fridge to charge their phone.

It was working earlier today showing 15,550 doses as at Sunday (I think).

To be fair they are updating it today to show the numbers in the priority group being considered, that Edge asked for yesterday. Technically you could just about work them out anyway, but this makes it easier.

So it's possible that they are using the opportunity to reprogram the dashboard to show the number of doses they actually have at the moment, rather than at some vague time in the past - something several on here have called for and pointed out should be doable.

Incidentally one thing I'm not certain about is how they are calculating the number of doses with regards to the Pfizer vaccine.  Are they taking the nominal five doses per vial or are they assuming they will get the six that seems to be possible in most cases with care?
