It was quite revealing when at one of the briefings last week he spent quite a while explaining how the IOM's clinicians had debated whether to extend the period between doses, and it was a consensus

Who is talking about setting up in a cowshed?  There are plenty of nice, warm venues large enough to do this on the IOM without OTT adaptations.

Timeout. You were given a gentle hint earlier.

Do we know why we’ve stopped vaccinations after 1041 when we have 6 trays of 975 plus another tray due this week? Seems stupid to only vaccinate 3 days a week when we are locking down because of a critical risk of NHs overrun etc etc

everyone else seems to do them 7 days a week

Well, 1041 will be 1 full tray with the magic extra doses. So although you say 6 call it 3 for the two doses at the proper rate, so maybe they'll smash two next week. Would having say, 3000 people first dosed have made any difference to the lockdown? Oh, no, of course it wouldnt.

Maybe no difference to lockdown but would make sense to vaccinate as many as possible in as short a time. We’re getting 1000 doses per week delivered so if we only ever do 1000 per week we’ll always have 4/5 trays in freezer like now!!

also assume we will receive Oxford vaccine soon like Channel Islands so we need to ramp up the program

I'd say it makes sense to have a couple of trays in reserve, for when the supply from the UK dries up for reasons, or we get an absolute belter of double storm week with massive disruption. But thats just me, you just want everything right now with no thinking.

So when and how many are to be vaccinated next? Would-be good if there were some credible statistics imparted so that we can see proper progress. They can do it with the tests etc, so they should be able to do the same with the vaccine roll out. That's assuming there's a plan.

The fact that the government have communication issues in respect of trust throughout the population, should come as no surprise to them. The last countless years have been bluster, obfuscation and aggression towards anyone who dare question or criticise the corridors of power. Ironic really, that at the point they do need to be open with the population to gain their compliance, they find themselves the subject of ridicule and question ! The Dr Glover issue is a case in point.

Good lesson here Howie, you reap what you sow !!

A couple maybe but we’ve already got 5 of 6 trays in reserve plus 1 more due this week, we don’t need that many in reserve. We are well behind everyone else in UK & CI and need to ramp up.

Ashie can’t say we don’t need to do anything as we are in great position then lock us down at same time

Banker. That is quite possibly the most sensible and on-point thing I've seen from you in recent weeks.
