Because they are residents here. They got the same permission as any other resident to be allowed to return home to the Island. As with all returning residents, they have been isolating (within KWC), so please don’t worry that they will infect yourself.

Apple
For a moment I read it as KFC. Now that would be a tragedy.. This was covered in the Covid thread I think.

Letter received Monday, no weekend deliveries, so presumably send Thursday or Friday? Surely they or your GP must have your phone number and then maybe confirm in a follow up letter. I hope you’ve been following the rules and recommendations.
Shake me up Judy
Of course they're not residents. They go to school here, that's all. They should be locked down in their own homes, wherever they reside and KWC closed while this lasts. There are too many people coming and going through this joke of a lockdown. Even a group of people spotted pulling suitcases down Strand Street a week or so ago. Key workers my ass. 3 4
Out of the blue
They are considered residents, and the existence of this thread given there are several other Covid threads has a whiff of class war, envy about it. Not a good look. The kids are isolating, not a danger to anyone else.

IOM legislation states that residency for a student is where they are educated as well as where their parents reside. They are legal residents, despite how anyone feels about it.

Out of the blue
If it was a charitable boarding school for deprived orphans, I wonder if it would have it's own thread. As for discriminating against one resident group under the heading of 'it's a pandemic' makes me shudder.
the stinking enigma
Deprived orphans are unlikely to be returning from spending christmas with their families.
