This was before Malcolm. Steve Paramor. His dad had the Inner Man on Nelson Street.

Wasn’t/isn’t Harbour Lights on the prom. Thought it was Lively Lobster next to the Creek?
quilp 11,328
That's it, the Lively Lobster, bland as cream cracker inside but the food was ok. Blue Nun paradise.

I did, but it was all in the best possible taste and I made some good friends out of it, never once felt threatened or uncomfortable and it was surprising what you could learn about the Island's closeted, supposedly hetero, married men (they were legion). But that was a sign of the times with being gay being illegal back then. And moving to London was an eye-opener (no pun intended) Sunday night at 'Heaven' and the 'Embassy' was amazing. 1

If it was the very early days I probably cooked it and served the wine. It was a haunt of the inimitable Chris Kingston and his crew, when they were in it was a riot. Didn’t he buy the Mansion House opposite Spring Valley and have his own restaurant on site?

It wouldn't surprise me if he did. Liked him immensely, his Xmas parties in the office at the end of Athol Street were memorable. Say no more 😇
