Hey Boris.

Show me where I said that or look even more clueless on this thread than you already do.

Read it carefully though.

Me look more clueless?

You are asking me to refute a accusation that Observer made I think you will find.

And its Mr Johnson to you. 🙂

At PROPER racing circuits they can make the surface smooth and without "Leaps"

Leaps have no place in a safe race track.

cadwell park, a proper racing circuit

I'd rather not if it's all the same.

I'm still recovering from the first time I read it.

Maybe if you had read it properly the first time you would have understood what I was saying  and your recollection of what I put would be more accurate?

For me it should end the day someone who hadn’t made a conscious decision to be anywhere near it is killed or injured.

Until then when it is people who have volunteered to expose themselves to that risk in return for the buzz they know it will give them it can carry on.

It's exactly what you said.

Here’s a clue.  When I accepted that a bike vaulting a house and injuring someone that is because that would be a completely innocent bystander who should have rightly expected to be safe.

My point was always that anyone at trackside or in a garden right next to a live racetrack has made a conscious decision to be there (or if a child had it made by the person who was at that time responsible for them)

That is completely different to what you seem to have understood.

The only people that say that are people that have never felt the adrenalin rush of proper competition, in any sport.

That doesn’t apply to hardly any sport.

Its like saying a marathon runner would go out full whack for the first few miles, or that a cyclist would burn out in the first hundred miles of a stage.

Its like a weightlifter going for a PB on his first lift or a f1 driver using all his fuel or tyres.

You do know that in most motorsport people very rarely drive or ride at even 90 percent don’t you?

You really do post some shite

As usual, not a lot of what you post makes sense

Really?

Boris said, in response to someone saying that the throttle works both ways

The only people that say that are people that have never felt the adrenalin rush of proper competition, in any sport.”

That shows he knows nothing about motorsport.

With the exception of drag racing  and hill climbs I can’t think of a motorsport where people race at full speed for the whole race.

full speed and as fast you think you can go are not the same thing.  some people don't get that. sometimes you think you can go faster and physics says otherwise , that's when the fan starts to smell.

This doesn't surprise me in the least. Were I a TT fan, I wouldn't welcome this. Between 2005 and 2009, I made a point of visiting Ellan Vannin to attend the Rally Isle of Man. In 2008, I went to the Scollaig Road/ Abbeylands stage and a NIMBY turned up and moaned in the face of of one of the marshals, "We're shut in for the TT. We're shut in for the rally. My son can't get his gym. Is the anyone I can write to, to have this stage moved away from Abbeylands?" Of course, I and other rally fans assembled there, were laughing at her. The following year, the stage was moved away from the crossroads. In addition to that, Health & Safety had decreed that the rally was cut from three to two days and popped, flying champagne corks were directed well away from spectators at the winner's paddock at the TT grandstand. I always looked forward to the last day of the rally at the grandstand. Yep, a great occasion was wrecked by Health & Safety.
