Anyone who is naive enough to believe that any Government Questionaire will make any difference or be taken seriously should wake up and smell the coffee.   They do these virtue signalling excercises on all sorts of matters just because they think we believe the published outcomes which for the main are treated with contempt or hilarity.   The cost of these useless excercises is another bone of contention they would earn more respect if they said…we have decided to alter this accordingly and we are not the slightest bit interested in what you lot think as we are in charge and what we say goes.

I know it’s for 2023, but nice to see additional hospitality options being added for next years event.  I would be interested to know how the £300 pp ticket price is shared though?  How much goes to Victory Cafe for the food and drink and how much to IOMTT.com to cover ticket sales and advertising.

Similar packages available at Milntown, Black Dub, Ginger Hall

DESCRIPTION

One of the latest additions to our fantastic selection of viewing points is the Victory Cafe Hospitality Suite located at the Bungalow on the Mountain Section of the course.

The cafe, which operates from an old Cold War era Rotor Radar Station, was a firm favourite amongst fans during its first TT in 2022 and with almost a kilometre and a half of track on display accompanied by one of the best menus on the island, we're not surprised.

Following on from its successful TT 2022, Victory Cafe will now upping the ante with their new VIP hospitality suite offering an unreal experience from its rustic cider house. Guests will also have access to the cider house’s viewing verandah offering an exclusive view of the track.

Includes:

  • Breakfast baps made from the finest local produce served on arrival together with pastries, tea and coffee
  • Free bar throughout the day which will include beer, cider, wine and prosecco
  • A full freshly made buffet lunch
  • Home made cakes later on in the afternoon
  • Full day hosted by a TT personality to be confirmed

Questions being asked today in the HOK by Tim Glover relating to the TT changes. I really do not know what he reckons he will achieve. Most consultations are preordained and the decisions decided in advance. It’s going to very interesting what the reactions from ‘fans’ at the Motorcycle Show in a few weeks. When the have a TT day.

He could have raised it a year ago when it was announced.   Or he isn't getting a gold VIP pass this year and is not happy about it.

Biggest looser must be the hospitality centre (big plastic tent ) the government purchased  a few years ago , it was only used about 6 times during TT and 3 times during the MGP , numbers using the facility have been falling , it gets erected in April and dismantled  again in September ,  the cost of which  including storage  must be astronomical ,  plus the fee paid to the corporation for re instating  the damage to Nobles park every year     these are the  big cost items that  are crippling the races and its time  all aspects , start money ,prize money who  and holds the purse strings , rumour has it that ACU events  have been given a significant part of the budget for next year , so come on Tim Glover show us what you are made of, and get this lot off to  SCRUTINY COMMITTEE ,

So as most if not all of us expected. No new scoreboard for TT 2023. Why oh why did they take the old one down down. And No not convinced with a little bit spent it wouldnt have lasted a couple more years.   Apparently also according to a ex travelling marshall theres a considerable sum already spent on wiring for the scoreboard . If true thats another £500.000 gone to waste. Over to you Juan SHK

You answered you own question, although I think unintentionally.

There is no need for a scoreboard these days, it’s just an unnecessary expense in the days of live radio, transponders and internet in your hand

Unintentionally , as my ipad freezes from time to time. Finished the sentence now .

That’s bollocks.  Maybe on the timing and transponder system, but no way specifically for a new scoreboard

He didnt clarify as to what and think he might have been referring to the whole new package involved in it. No doubt it will come out sometime , or maybe not .
