Dirty Stinking Douglas.

No reason for saying it, just I know it's one of David's most hated phrases, so I just want to throw it out there again.  For him.

Christian? Ashie?

David Christian plays with the chewing gum machine, whilst Ashie likes to think he’s part of the establishment now.

Ashie is part of the COMIN crew that has made Dirty Stinking Douglas. For an ex councillor he hasn’t done much for the capital.

Asked about rates rises, Howard helpfully points out that Marown didn't raise theirs.

DBC's business rates (which are criminally high) are not responsible for the closing of shops from the Arcadia group fallout, he's just using that as a smokescreen. However, pigeons are coming ho

I think the promenade is one of main reasons for dirty Douglas which is Harmer & Baker.

The other big eyesore is the area next to Lloyds Bank ex RBS , it always looks dirty & rubbish about, should get some brownfield grants to get housing on it not more office blocks with some garden s behind

I was in Douglas this afternoon. Depressing, uninviting, looking shabby.

Outside Boots the floor is awash with what looks like chewing gum. Looks dreadful.

Isle of Man bank - had to stand outside in rain to get an account balance as machines inside not working.

And don't start me on customer service in the two shops I went in. Called it a day after that.

Won't be in a hurry to go back.

The pavement outside the employees' entrance to M&S in Market Street is also awash with chewing gum.

Nice to see the matter of the chewing gum machine getting another airing. Just when their is doom and gloom and you want cheering up, up pops the picture of Ashie and David Christian and the machine, printed in the Manx Newspaper and online. Apparently it’s parts made £200 at auction………. That will go far within the DBC coffers.

But they didn't waste 120k because they still have a van left after getting rid of the useless equipment inside it.

So that's ok then.
