pongo
It's very odd that this keeps happening. I'm guessing some kind of supernatural aspect.
The Duck of Atholl
The road is very traversable at a sensible speed in a roadworthy car so the cause must be "Pilot Error" in whatever form as they say in the world of aviation.

There's something strange going on here for sure, even when the full road was in use there were never so many cars going over the edge in such a short period, despite crap tyres, brakes and handling! Not to mention a belly full of ale at the Port Soderick!

I've written to Laurence Skelly at Starship Enterprise with the idea for a Manx version of this. It will be world famous and attract over TwelventySeven million for the economy. https://www.plymouthherald.co.uk/news/local-news/terrifying-tale-disembodied-hairy-hands-696625 Edited June 10, 2021 by AlanShimmin

Gladys
I kind of suspected that, sadly. Let's hope that the response is not to close Marine Drive but to put some oomph into mental health care, particularly the crisis team.

The old chap a good few months ago drove off on purpose for the sake of a couple of thousand quid loan. Oddly enough,a lot of teenagers manage to get drunk and not drive, but there is always the dimwitted ones of course
