Callister seems to be keeping quiet at the moment, has he done a blog on his major achievements in last 5 years , or was it so short I missed it?

Presumably he can't write on a blog during a general election period when he claims for it on his Tynwald expenses

He’s not an MHK, is, he. Why should he blog. He’s got nothing to blog about, you know, no more getting up and reading his papers, going to the sea terminal, etc.

He’s probably not even doing his garden, too busy stuffing envelopes, knocking on doors. No time to blog if you have to ensure The next £300,000.

Too busy getting old Doris's postal vote.

For a man who likes the sound of his own voice, he's yet to appear on Paul Moultons interview channel.  Perhaps the children's champion isn't brave enough to face some tough questions about what he's actually been doing for 5 years.

An interesting late entry:

Formerly Mr Gubays right hand man...

And someone who’s word was found lacking in court. What are Lib Van up to.

Some aspects of Mr Willers' claims were "so improbable that they give the impression of having been invented".

Deemster Corlett concluded that Mr Willers' evidence regarding the alleged agreement of 1989/1990 with Mr Gubay, before the land for Mount Murray had been acquired, was "barely credible". He based his findings in respect of Mount Murray "on inherent probabilities". It was "overwhelmingly probable that Mr Gubay made Mr Willers' share conditional upon his playing a part in the sale of the hotel". It was "wholly improbable that intelligent businessmen would proceed" as alleged by Mr Willers. It was simply "not credible that Mr Willers and Mr Gubay entered into a verbal agreement in relation to the tax credits attaching to the hotel in the terms pleaded by Mr Willers and as set forth in his evidence"

In the Judgment Deemster Corlett expressed scepticism of Mr Willers' evidence in 2014 regarding a short undocumented meeting 28 years earlier. Deemster Corlett found Mr Willers' alleged agreement "barely credible" and that he "simply cannot accept that any form of contractual agreement was arrived at between Mr Gubay and Mr Willers on that day". He concluded by finding:

"… Mr Willers bears the burden of proving his claims. As I have already recorded, in my view the assertion that there was any form of contractually binding agreement reached at the brief meeting between two (then) strangers in April 1986 is simply too improbable to countenance. No doubt some vague and generalised statements were made by Gubay, akin to the type of statements he was wont to make to others, but under no circumstances could they amount to any form of contract."

They seriously are not endorsing Gubeys ex henchman as well as the property developer loving Josem? The Liberal Vannin Party simply does not exist anymore it’s turned into some warped local version of UKIP where all the right wing nutters get a platform.

You can spend a very long time reading about all the legal stuff that Mr Willers was involved with, first as Gubay's assistant then as his antagonist.  I believe Gubay's Will actually insisted that his executors were obliged to continue with all the court cases and not settle them.

That Weatherall guy who is nominally in charge is a bit creepy too. He seems to think he's already been elected.

But surely, if ever the time was to blog it was now.

”Knocked on doors today in Cronkywotsit. Great conversation with one householder who was very concerned about x. Here’s what I’ve done about it… ör here’s what Í will dó…”

Of course he’d neeed to be concise but…

Another candidate, Mr C will have to try harder now, as throwing his toys out of the pram hasn't worked!

OBJECTION TO CANDIDATE REJECTED BY RETURNING OFFICER
Candidate for the House of Keys Rob Callister objected to the nomination of Peter Willers who is also a candidate in the constituency of Onchan. Apparently Mr Callister objected because Mr Willers had not announced his candidature prior to the last day of nominations 25th August.
The returning officer rejected Mr Callister’s objection and Mr Willers is therefore a legitimate candidate for election.

Either the water cooler at LibVan HQ is filled with Fynodeere’s finest or this is some advanced reverse psychology 4d political chess. Either way:

Was he worried as they both basically look exactly the same and it might have confused voters?
