Sarcastic humour ! (me I mean)

Sorry, sense of humour fail there!

But, it is not beyond the realms of Commonwealth cooperation that there have been secondments.   It's also not beyond the realms of the Manx rumour mill!

Isn’t it appropriate for our idiots in the Treasury and even HRH The Chief Minister to actually issue a statement about this? The Zimbabwean news article is absolute nonsense and has more holes in it than guyerre cheese.

Yet articles like this are portraying the island, it’s corporate and legal services in a potential negative light. As I said previously, you have to jump through hoop after hoop to open a bank account. Advocates want identity records and utility bills as proof of address. The Beneficial Ownership Register is a nuisance to, but people comply with regulations.

HRH The Chief Minister is still in charge until another numpty is elected, and Alf Cannan is still Treasury Minister without being an MHK. It’s funny the full might of the IOMG rebuttal unit jumps into action, when it suits. Perhaps it’s time that they actually defend the island.

There isn't anything of substance to rebut and if there are Zimbabwean PEPs using the IOM in some way to hold these assets, then we will look foolish at best and neglectful of our international obligations at worst,  if there is an official statement.

There is too little information in the article to make any meaningful comment.

True to form Barmy Bernie and the Celtic League are jumping up and down, emoting over the supposed prices of the properties concerned.

Perhaps these Zimbabwean people are buying up new build properties as an investment?

we are probably providing them with a fisheries protection canoe or something to add to their navy
