Because they already know that the only thing that will happen is bullshit imposed on the plebs and a continuing wealth transfer.

And the protests won't make a blind bit of difference, you could almost say they are doing the governments bidding by bringing all this to attention it means they will do something that will most likely be dome sort of tax.

Some guy on the TV this morning was talking about a meat tax

A bit like Watterson's sugar tax was going to contribute to the Island's population becoming less obese....

How else can society reduce meat consumption which is a significant part of the problem? Red meat especially.

Scotland's extreme Loyalist sub-culture is as horrid as extreme Loyalism in the north of Ireland (where a majority now identifies as Irish).

The gradual break-up of the UK is being driven by sensible moderate middle-class and educated people and the young. It's about economics and a rejection of the kind of regressive tabloid tribalism which resulted in England forcing Brexit on the UK.

(The SNP have also done a brilliant job of destroying the old-fashioned Labour Party in Scotland. And putting PR at the centre of future politics.)

That is so muddled that my head hurts. Only bits of Scotland have a loyalist sub culture inhabited by the Thommos of this world. The rest of us are fine.
