Billy the Kid
Ok here we go, where we live we get fireworks around November 5th for a few nights and on New Year’s Eve but we get dogs kicking off most days and nights, I know which I prefer! SOME dog owners are twats. Tin hat on!

HeliX
Who paid for the fireworks? They're a bit shit in comparison these days, aren't they? Maybe it's because of how good movies are now, but fireworks always seem a bit old hat. There are good ones in big cities sometimes, but any on the IOM just seem a bit shit. At least these fireworks weren’t celebrating 5 deaths.

Ramsey ones are always good, although I'm not a fan of the music they play alongside them - music is subjective, after all. The day the display is held to hardcore punk is the day you know that I've taken over. It'll be fecking ace, I'm telling you......... 1

Once you've seen one IOM Fireworks display you've seen 'em all. And God help you if you've seen a "proper" one across.

Another plus is that we tend not to get some of the shitty behaviour you can get in other places.

It's been ages since I last had anything to do with organising a fireworks display, but when I did (over 20 years ago) it was approx £1k a minute. Presumably it's gone up from there. Could've employed a Nurse for a year instead of having Port Erin's display yesterday...

I think a couple of firework displays a year are the least of our problems when it comes to governments wasting money (And I imagine the fireworks were payed for by the l.a - do they employ nurses?). By the time the prom and liverpool dock are finished, we could probably all have our own personal nurses! I'm sure lot's of people enjoyed it, we all need an occasional break from the every day You stick to your cheese wrapping, I'll take the fireworks !😜.
hissingsid
Fireworks are the biggest waste of money going and they seem to have become more popular than ever lately.
