Today on MR David has said he thinks that the gas deposit under the Island should be investigated, interesting, of course he is in Treasury now and has his money hat on.   I think he is right it would be foolish to to ignore the possibilities that this could prove fruitful.

Bollox, it would be foolish to use it and further destroy the planet.

Easy to say when you don't live here and aren't affect by our need for economic recovery or our lack of energy security. Move back here, then we can talk.

If you were to adapt all the IOMG climate change crap and Daffy and Mr Squeaker grandstanding, showboating and behaving like toy town students, then the answer would be a no no no  - as Daffy says no. Daffy isn’t running the show though

Perhaps the island needs to what’s best for the island and tell the climate change campaigners to either like it or lump it. The gas reserves won’t be there forever and could be used until more appropriate renewables come into play. The trouble is renewables will take years to set up. So the island has to endure fuel shortages to appease one grouping? No gas, no oil no power.

Let's just hope he doesn't spit the dummy and fire up the shredder if there happens to be a woman involved in the testing for feasibility who knows more than he does .

Narrow-minded. You can buy all the electricity you want from the UK. We already finance lots of clean electricity, you finance - none.

We buy our gas from the Nordics, it costs a fortune. We can become a self sufficient Island. Pulrose as a power station has many years of life left in it that we need to think about.

Self-sufficient and destroy the planet for future generations?

Drilling for gas off the Isle of Man isn't a major problem in the global picture. Far bigger problems. In the short to medium term, this is important.

Just vegan eco warriors can cling on to it easily.

The difference is the clowns like Daphne and Squeaker are on a £60k+ salary and a gold-plated pension. So they don't notice when fuel and energy prices double or even triple. They can afford to live in massively insulated homes, they can afford the electric vehicles with discounted bills from MUA.

The climate change protesters are a bunch of high earning hippies too so fall into exactly the same boat.

Then there's the rest of the GMP just cut adrift and trying to get by.
