James Blonde
I doubt it. These aren't supplied by Mercedes or Volvo
finlo
Are these the ones that won't fit in the fire depot requiring a very expensive new one to be built?

asitis
Great ruse to get the funding for a new fire station though !

Cypman
I know we need sufficient fire and rescue cover at the airport but this does seem like another “platinum plated” solution.

I think we needed new fire trucks but it was the perfect purchase to get the funds for a new fire station. So much of the airport infrastructure is never maintained and management love still the heathrow on sea thinking. We desperately need someone in charge who can actually run an airport not the current muppet/s. 2

ian rush
The station has long been due to be replaced with something bigger. The new trucks dont fit the old station but that was known. Existing trucks/tenders are at end of life. Not a lot to see in terms of managing issues except timing (replace all at once whereas it used to be sequential) and the capital spend on station not being approved and/or build not being done.
