Dirty Buggane
This is just outrageous that these people go swanning off on a jaunt at our expense. I for one would like to know what, if anything will be learnt versus cost. Apart from remember your aspirin a do not book it to expenses. Bunch off freeloading tossers. We are in for tough times, just times are a lot tougher if you are not on £60,000+ and a member of club tynwald. You can just hear them whinging, we went economy.

Non-Believer
There is no price on Tynwald's purple and pageantry and never has been. Who knows, we may even get invitations from developing states to advise them on how to manage their fiscal affairs...

2112
The only positive thing out of Rob Callister and his delegation plus civil servants, is in realty none of them will be missed. Whats wrong is the perception and optics of the annoying announcements, the showboating and attention seeking ‘I’m important’. The island has lots of issues affecting every residents, low to middle income. Money wasted on frivolous and inessentials. Halifax Nova Scotia isn’t a bucket list for a holiday or a place if visiting Canada. 3

If there is a serious screw up then you strip RC of his motorsports and tourism brief, perhaps he could be in charge of dog shit removal, but some would argue that’s too good for him. GreyWolf
What a complete waste of OUR tax payers feckin money, hey why not have some morals and say we are not going and what it would have cost us is now going towards the cost of someone’s health or a needy charity.

Numbnuts
It asks the question as to how much input does Rob have with motorsports in the real world and of course Chair of MUA . Mind blowing really and clearly his input to this conference will also be minimal at best. Its a jolly without doubt and in these days of the population struggling its taking the piss. He should have declined going because of his other responsibilities .
