Ahhhh but hiding in the background is the borrowed 400 million..!! No mention if thats been used , very secretive about it aren't they. And of course, if all else fails theres always the good old NI fund! You know the one ? That's ring fenced and cant be used ....ohh wait ..

Here is the link. Feast your eyes! Most of the money has been already spent, and spent on what I would personally describe as 'business as usual' initiatives.

Manx Radio News " Calls for household income data to be used instead of child benefit. The former treasury minister has criticised government for using a 'blunt' tool to allocate winter support payments.David Ashford says household income data should be used to determine who gets cost-of-living assistance "

And he should know. Anyway, why not use income tax returns ?

This is a new opportunity for the construction industry. Communal Heat Hubs where the poor can be herded for the winter, a little like cattle brought indoors.

Huge barn-like structures with a centrally placed heat source, so said plebs and wassnames can rotate around it, taking their turns to work from inside to out like Emperor penguins in an Antarctic storm.

Then in the Spring they can all be let out again to work to pay off the energy bills that they've all benefited from.

It's a plan....

Will they have skirting boards installed?  I know a guy who has some for sale, barely used...

That will certainly help all those people on £150K a year to pay their winter fuel bills! 😂

Unfair, some of these mansions will cost a fortune to heat and light. Tories doing what they always have done best, ie handing over money to the wealthy (a bit like us).

The Institute for Fiscal Studies have already earlier slammed these proposals as not adding up financially.

The UK has a joke government but it looks like we now have a “shit or bust” strategy being deployed to reward the idiots who voted for Brexit with more tax breaks.

Well I'm not as clever as lots on here but looking at the UK budget the Conservatives seem to have totally looked after their mates in every area without any thoughts of those same people contributing to paying for the increased debt. This in my opinion is not going to end well. Maybe Truss and her lackeys are inspired but my bet is there getting smashed in a election very soon. Not sure they will be able to hold out for the 18 months left.

Presumably accompanied by printing copious amounts of money to cover the shortfall.

Not printing, borrowing. Big difference.

She’s insane and she is so staggeringly incompetent (and clearly so) you wonder what on earth is going on with the UK Tory Party. There’s so much coverage already about how stupid this mini budget is.
