Still take £50 notes on holiday with me as you get better rate for changing into local currency.

I get the best rate using my fee-free Halifax credit card in a local ATM.

Revolut card for the win.

Why would anyone dick around with currency and worry about exchange rates these days.  Just use Revolut which also has numerous advantages just for day to day use at home.  I don’t think I have spent anything out of my current account for about two years, or just auto tops up the Revolut account which then give me the ability to track all spending, see how much I spend in certain stores, how much I spend on certain things, gives me travel insurance, gives me unlimited single use disposable credit card numbers for online use as well as currency and crypto accounts.

It also puts money into my vault each time I spend.  Pay £1.52 is Spar and 48p goes into the vault as it rounds up.  At the end of each month there is normally a couple of hundred quid in there that I hadn’t even thought about.

Excellent news. A non local company will be flogging TT merchandise for all you death voyeurs.

If you mean a UK company will be supplying local retailers with TT merchandise then previously the IOM company sourced them from China & supplied them locally so what’s the difference?

Also the firm seems highly experienced in this field

Yep.  A non local company.  I think that’s what I originally said.

Don’t forget to shop local now.

"A state of flux" for Ramsey in light of business closures...

Ramsey could be a vibrant town if the following 3 things happened.

  • 1. The government department - DFE - Moved half their staff to the North/ Ramsey area - And other Gov departments move that way too for some of their offices. That would be a good "Seeder" start and long term make a big difference.
  • 2. RTC/ planning forgot about preserving the income of a few "key" owners of industrial buildings and preserving their high rental returns (like most of the industrial units on the island - too much to make business start ups viable) and let Dandara build a whole new industrial estate as part of their plan for a big housing estate near Glen Auldyn
  • 3. Stop anyone who says , "its an old building that needs preservation" - preferably from breathing but in light of the long prison time for that just stop them retards from having a say.

The island is and has always been strangled by indirect corruption - Not brown envelopes - just people who have land/ buildings and don't want any more of the same type built new to dilute their income.

That is all.

Ramsey could be the best place on he island by far if the above were implemented, it really could.
