Gaming industry shipping out

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

So the doomsayers have been saying for years that the gaming industry will amount to nothing, and leave us high and dry at the drop of a hat!

I have to say that my LinkedIn feed is full of people starting new gaming jobs and at more and more new businesses.

Then we have this bit of news.  It looks like the neigh sayers might be eating a bit of humble pie!  In fact I would say it was odds on.

Are we talking about gaming or gambling here?

I am talking about gaming, which to me is casinos, sports books and the associated software businesses which go with them.  Which I suppose is gambling.

I am not talking about e-sports which some might class as gaming, but which we should also be embracing

Its gambling. Plain and simple. Trading in human misery.

Remember folks, when the fun stops STOP.

(obviously by this point you've lost your house, wife, access to kids, job, self respect etc)

But hey, JOBS!

They’ve owned the land and the plans have been in for this for ages. Let’s see if it’s ever built.
