Two-lane
Maybe he is so Mitty-like that he offered his resignation only as a negotiating tactic - that he thought he was so necessary that they would offer him Chief Minister role to ensure he stayed on-board. You may think that unrealistic, but note that he still considers he has done nothing wrong. The more I find out about the IoM gov., the more fantasy (or horror) and reality become indistinguishable. Gladys
Alf praised him for leading DHSC during Covid. That is the dysfunctional DHSC, by the way.

Yes the official version of events is: He allegedly resigned privately on Monday Cannan did the briefing on the Tuesday making no mention of his resignation The President suppressed any questions asking if he was resigning or being sacked Ashford told the press that he wouldn’t be resigning Later on that week another press story ran that said he wouldn’t be resigning On Thursday he presumably writes a long waffly letter resigning On Friday lunchtime and he admits that he resigned on Monday and presents long waffle letter referring back to Monday. He really does think that everyone else is as gullible as him!

Kopek
They've just had one, ( the latest ), wrongful dismissal case, do you think they want to risk another? What could Henri reveal of behind the scenes shenanigans??? They'll start with moving her desk out onto Finch Rd................ Manx17
So does anyone know if we will get another hearing, to see if Dr Ranson was right and we should of closed the border earlier? As there is a lot of concerning aspects of this. 1. Avoidable deaths. 2. Lock downs we had to endure. 3. The publics mental health. 4. Losses of businesses. 5. Loss of earnings. 6. Losses of public money in terms of giving money to businesses to keep them afloat including the said then chief minister and other government interests. 7 children’s loss in education where they could go to school had to learn with windows wide open in winter. 8 people given criminal records for going out in lockdown but could of been avoided if action was taken sooner. also where is Hetty now? Is she suspended until further notice or still working. Can she be trusted? Or will everything get swept under the carpet about what happened to the public.
