AcousticallyChallenged
I'm boostered and jabbed. Catching COVID was still bloody miserable, I dread to think how bad it'd have been without the jabs, and I'm not in any risk groups. If you're in such a way that the vaccine would injure you, COVID is far more likely to do you harm.

If you check the VAERS site, the numbers on this post don't match the actual numbers on the site. The VAERS site also correctly points out that deaths after being vaccinated do not indicate causality between the two, which you don't seem to understand. If you had a VAERS for coffee drinking, you'd find tens of thousands of people die every day after drinking coffee. But there is no direct link between the coffee and the death in the vast majority of cases - of course there are causal cases where someone turns out to be allergic to coffee or oat milk and dies of anaphylaxis, or chokes on a misground bean. The same is true of the vaccine - VAERS records 9 deaths that were causally associated with the J&J vaccine, and reports on rare causal side-effects such as myocarditis. As Wrighty points out in his earlier post, reports of effects after vaccination do not necessarily indicate the vaccine as the cause, but they collect the data and record it anyway. If I get the shits and a sore arse after a vaccine and report it, it will be recorded, and it might be the vaccine, it could be norovirus, irritable bowel, or it might be the dodgy vindaloo I picked up walking home pissed last night.

Yes, but that is what "they" have conditioned you to think. Since I had the vax, 2 plus booster, I have developed an intolerance of conspiracy bollocks. It's a worry. 1

Strange, but not having the vaccine seems to make some people very vulnerable to conspiracy theories. Surprisingly there’s a free protection available - vaccine. 1

On a more serious note, you would think that most people would be grateful that a vax was found so quickly. It may not be 100% perfect, but it has been a game changer to get most countries back to normal. But, no, some people just have to poke around until they find a reason to confirm their distrust, while still expecting their fears will be pandered to. Get over it, the vax is not mandatory, but accept some restrictions if you choose not to have it. All of this started with that struck off doctor who falsely established a link between the MMR vax and autism. Well done chum, not only have you undermined vaccines in general but you have deflected proper research into the causes of autism, let alone the illnesses and deaths caused by those very diseases. See, it really is an intolerance.
NoTail
Distrust of vaccines goes back much further than the looney mmr doctor. He has though restirred the pot somewhat.
AcousticallyChallenged
It's fundamentally the modern day equivalent of accusations of witchcraft. People who don't understand things assuming they must be evil.
