Gladys said the fair costs a mortgage to go too, so do beer tents. They haven’t stopped them. So adults it’s ok to have some fun . Kids it’s a no go.

You're not making sense. The beer tents are for adults only, unless you're advocating kids to allowed into beer tents?

I’ve brought 3 kids up over here and was forever ferrying them to various activities. Why do people keep saying there’s nothing for kids here? There definitely is.

What they really mean is that they can't be arsed with their kids and it is somebody else's problem. We've brought up 4 sons and now quite a few grandkids - there's always something to do.

I’m not loosing anything it’s not a war. I’ve 4 children who enjoyed the fair very much . We went once or twice a year when it was over and the joy and smiles laughter whilst on the rides was worth every penny.
Government said they were keeping it local this year because of money , but haven’t put anything in place local instead of it. But there is enough money to piss it up a wall. Is it any wonder our kids don’t come back. Next week they will be complaining of underage drinking drugs . But money on alcohol and drugs  will be money well spent. It will keep the local dealers and shops in business.

I think you have just loosed something, to be fair.

Government said they were keeping it local this year because of money , but haven’t put anything in place local instead of it. But there is enough money to piss it up a wall. Who is pissing money up a wall?  Is the government giving out beer vouchers?  Why would government put something else in place? Is it any wonder our kids don’t come back. Because the fair isn’t here this year?  There are much bigger issues causing young people to leave or not return. Next week they will be complaining of underage drinking drugs . But money on alcohol and drugs  will be money well spent. It will keep the local dealers and shops in business. I am not sure of your logic there.

If your children are stupid enough to get involved with drugs due to there being no fair then you are the problem.

Come on man. There's a direct corolation between not being able to go on the waltzers and getting addicted to smack. It's well known lol

Children are not stupid if they do drugs they do it because it’s either rammed down their throats , their friends are doing it and they follow or they get into a depression because there is nothing to do and before they know it are addicted and mostly because it is allowed to get here .

Those children sound pretty stupid to me.

I would just be grateful that our children  have experienced fun things to do on the island together with their parents. Like I have with my parents. Where our island  was seen as a great place to live with fond memories growing up. Now we have mainly sports for children, if your into sports that’s ok but not everyone is. My children have experienced the glens beaches wild life park cinema trams trains boats  like many others when little, but they get to certain age and they don’t want to go on the train or the wild life part for the 50th time. Near every country city town has a fun fair. Is it too much to ask to have a fair for two weeks of the year so that children have the experience of going to a fair like our children?
It’s very sad what’s happening to our island. Kids leave because they want to live life and I don’t blame them.

My kids were not sporty and found plenty to do.

It is a futile argument to say the lack of the fair has caused this vandalism.  Whoever did it is a twat.  How can anyone try to justify it by blaming not being able to go on a waltzer?

I’m unsure how you all think the way you do. I’ve never heard of so much stupidity in my life . No money for a fun fair and money shouldn’t go on a fun fair . But we have a massive problem with drugs and alcohol. I know where I would rather money  be spent on and it’s not a local dealer.

A concise argument why money should not be spent on bringing the fair over.
