If the legal position is the same as in the UK, I don't believe an insurance company can refuse to pay out to a third party who has suffered injury/loss. What they could do is seek to recover the payout from their customer who had voided their insurance by not declaring the modifications. (Of course that assumes that the customer has assets making it worthwhile to sue him - or her... )
The Bastard
Should be grateful that a couple of teenagers in a slightly noisy car are all you have to worry about. Says a lot about this backwater. I'm sure the Police have better things to focus on. 5

They just won't cover the costs of those parts when it comes to paying out. But non performance modifications won’t include engine remaps or exhaust changes, that’s for things like wind deflectors, stickers and window tints, but some insurers want to know about any modifications, even stickers or sun strips. Something like a free flowing exhaust will increase HP , the restrictions are there to meet noise limits or environmental/pollution regulations. Annoymouse
Only the other day there was a post on the official Police feed warning about loose gravel on a road down south, any other police force would be going after HGVs/work vehicles carrying an insecure load, it’s not difficult for a HGV Tipper to put a sheet over the load, most are fitted with automatic sheeting but they’re almost never used because the drivers are too lazy and there is never any prosecutions. Not if they're notified, no.

A crackle map will reduce it if anything.

Let’s be honest, nobody pays for just a crackle remap, they get a performance map and have crackle/pops & bangs given as an option as part of the package. In order to have a crackle map you also have to remove the catalytic converter because it will just destroy it as they aren’t designed to have unburnt fuel thrown at them, at best they can fit a fast flowing catalytic converter to keep it road legal/MOT complaint, but being realistic how many people do that over here when there’s is zero checks being made? The pop/bang crew are the ones who couldn’t care less about society, as someone else said it’s nothing more than a wanker approach warning. That said the roads policing unit aren’t currently fit for purpose, we’ll next see them for two weeks at MGP, only for them to hide again until the two weeks in November for winter roadside checks. 1

Kopek
It's unlikely that any axle back silencer would increase performance? The modern engine is so tightly controlled by the ECU, electronic throttle body, MAFs and sensors everywhere, the ECU will adjust the air/fuel to what it thinks it requires!!! There's another thing about these Kids and their cars, we were all young once, we wanted go faster stripes and louder exhausts, didn't we? Problem was, we couldn't afford them! Kids today have more disposable? They'll outgrow it, let them have their Puppyhood!!! Maybe their Mum and Dad should cut their pocket money??? 😃

What a sicko It's at this point, I should reply with some of the internet standards like "did she die of disappointment ?" or "is that why she stinks almost as bad as your posts ?" but I'm not sure it's worth it, given the poor quality of your responses so far. It's not worth even trolling you.

One thing I have learned over the years is that if you do nothing then the only thing that changes is that it will get worse. Absolutely guaranteed. A letter to the Chief Constable would be a good place to start. After all, he does work for you... 1

Are you the person who goes straight to their mhk because their bin wasn't emptied? The best process is get a reg call the police an officer will look into it. That's it, nothing more to it
