Are you the person who goes straight to their mhk because their bin wasn't emptied?

The best process is get a reg call the police an officer will look into it. That's it, nothing more to it

Don't be childish.

If the police SOP's are the same on the island as the UK (likely) then every letter to the CC has to be responded to.

It might be a staffer that replies but when dealing with structured organisations it's always better to go in at the top and trickle down rather than go in at the bottom and try to claw your way up - good luck with that one...

Honestly going to the chief constable because of loud exhausts?

There is one of these appeared in my avenue. Sounds like an old Ford D series lorry with no silencer. Awful.

I had a plan of hammering as many potatoes from my excellent crop of Maris Peers up his tailpipe as will fit with a mallet.

On reflection, I thought it a waste of good food so may content myself with flinging dog shit at it when I walk the dog.

The curious thing is, he is a remarkably  ugly specimen of a young man. A bit like a juvenile Halibut. Why he would want to draw attention to himself is beyond me.

I get rid of one twat with an aftermarket/ebay exhaust only to get another with a Golf that sounds like a farm tractor round here.

All the coppers can do is send them up the test centre - which has a queue as long as the next 18 months.

All 'Kev' 'Callum' and 'Kelly' are going to do is keep tooling about in their 200 quid cars with 3 grand extras until they either bend them, kill themselves or they grow up, knowing plod can do sod all about the de-cats, extra tints, lowering, air filters and Ebay bolt on bits.

Would they use a non-performance enhancing modification as an excuse not to pay out in the event of someone being injured or killed?

Insurance companies will use any excuse not to pay out, regardless whether it has the slightest relevance to the claim or not, the only thing they are interested in is their own profits.

Loud pipes have been around all my lifetime. IMHO the only thing that has changed on the island is that our tolerance of other people seems to be decreasing. Does it really matter if one or two people have loud exhausts on their cars? Is that how intolerant we are these days?

It would be much more to the point to clean up the motor insurance industry. They really are a bunch of crooks  who shouldn't be protected by the law as they are. There are many areas of modern big business who routinely take the piss out of their customers, but rarely are they quite as brazen about it as insurance companies, they're the bottom of the pile.

What a pity, he speaks very highly of you! 😀

There are plenty of brand new and expensive cars that will pop and bang from the factory.

a pop or bang doesn’t always mean people have been modifying

Yep a quick down change in my Porsche Cayman would make it pop like mad

Sure, why not...?

It's not going to the CC it's writing to him. In any event a timely reminder of who he actually works for wouldn't go amiss...

There's a big difference between V8 burble, BMW M-something crackle and a crackle map on a shitbox Fiesta ST though.
