ptarmigan
I’ve stayed there a couple of times and it’s been absolutely fine. Breakfast was busy but service was good. There was a big do on in the main room but still staff on the bar. It was quiet at night.

I wouldn't go for a week's holiday or anything, but for a reasonably priced B&B after a night out up North it's been fine on the handful of occasions I've been there. x-in-man
Walked out of better hotels than Ramsey Park. Walked out of that one too. Room not cleaned when we checked in - well past check in time Room not serviced during the stay - or partly serviced with no towels or loo roll left. 2 hour wait for food, or ignored altogether for food service. Food bland and served by staff who'd not be out of place in a school canteen. 30 mins wait for drinks from the bar. Breakfasts that NEVER turned up. Windows leaking. Ceiling tiles blown out and not picked up for 3 days. Rubbish left at the tops of stairs for days. No heating on last visit No hot water flow when busy. Noise from Chav, Chavette and little Chavelles. Rude staff. Never going back and would never recommend it. Captive market there - they just do not care. Been there more than once. The 1st time when it was new - OK. Second time - bit of a let down but plodded on as we were meeting friends. Last time, stay-cation, worse, came home 2 days early. Never heard back from my comments/complaints. Sefton is better - and that's bloody saying something!
thommo2010
I know of an owner of a very popular place in Douglas who is considering closing due to the rising costs of everything, like I say this place is always busy so if they are struggling then no doubt others will be as well 1

Wonder where all the covid support money went?
