offshoremanxman
This was linked in the airport thread and I think it’s a wonderful story of how one man basically funded a campaign to put up a fake sign for an airport that didn’t exist and how it’s gradually become a local tourist attraction in itself. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-63600184 This apparently has even taken on a life of it’s own with the airport taking off in a big way on social media with thousands of followers on Facebook and Twitter enjoying updates about Llandegley's impressive environmental credentials, and to engage in flights of fancy about the airports alleged “top secret" Terminal 2. Twitter: @Llandegley_Int What fake attraction would you like to see set up in the IOM? And do you think the DfE could even manage to pull off marketing a completely fictitious IOM attraction given their track record on actual tourist campaigns? It’s a well known fact that the Treacle Mines are in Ronague. Perhaps the Dog Mills should reopen.

Left long enough, the word will get out there that there is a quirky road in the British Isles that is a triumph of illogicality, but all the locals use it. People will pay good money and come from all corners to witness it. 1
NoTailT
We should put adverts out saying we've fully legalised prostitution and weed. Then when they all get here, tell them we haven't passed the legislation yet. Or written it.
