location and the size would have an "adverse impact" on the landscape and setting of nearby registered buildings, as well as the views of nearby residents, she said. ... OK  for Dandara though ...

The nearby registered buildings being presumably the college upon whose land this was to built? She's off her head.

I mean, just across the road is a 100 house estate being built on what were a couple of fields. And next door to that is a falling to bits former garage. How's that for 'adverse impact' on the landscape and views of nearby residents?

I think that it would impact the landscape, it's just a case of whether there is an overwhelming need for an 'Olympic' sized pool? I am old enough to remember this much heralded deficiency when the Summerland pool was mooted. We've had three major pool developments since that time and not a peep!

We need some sensible people on the planning committee. Most of them are retired busy-bodies not even born here...trying to keep the island like it was the 1940s to 1970s.

There must be at least 5 of us on MF that could do it.

Our heritage is Viking...not Victorian tat. Even the Victorians cleared the old crap here.
