Phone Tapping

Recommended Posts

A neighbour is involved in a Civil Court Case.

For some time he has suspected that his phone line is being listened into. The people he is up against are wealthy and their legal people seem to have plenty of clout with the Island's controllers.

I know this has been in the news recently but I understand it has been suspected that this particularly case has been going on for quite a while and there is certainly no criminal activity or threat to national security. Just powerful and nasty people doing it because they can.

What do you do if you believe your phone conversations are being listened into?

Provide red herrings.

The reality is that almost anyone can ‘tap’ a ‘phone if it’s a landline and even mobile ‘phones can be ‘tapped’ with a bit of knowledge and the right equipment.

Surveillance technologies can be very sophisticated and relatively low cost.

For example a conversation in a room can be monitored by the use of a low cost laser device and the reflections from a window pane.

Intercepting a phone line is childishly simple in most cases especially where there’s overhead outside lines involved.

Even telephone voice band encryption devices aren’t really worth much if you’re under surveillance from an official body unless they’re the digital devices and using one of those would set alarm bells ringing big time though if it’s just a local private investigator the low cost voice band analogue things could cause him a problem.

Encryption of E_Mail isn’t much use either, not with the computing power that is available today.

What’s more many of the up to 128 rotor encryption engines available from usual sources have back doors, the best way would be to write your own, but even then the recipient must have a copy to use to decrypt and again, a non-standard encryption algorithm would set the bells ringing.

The best thing is to lay false trails and watch which way the hunt takes.

Meet face to face. And make sure there isn't a cigar smoking man lurking in the shadows.

If this is the case Im thinking off the persons involved have made written complaints and asked if their phones are tapped through their Advocates, todate they have not had any replies from the Islands Home Affairs minister, and when asked over the phone if the phones were tapped they were not given a yes o no answer

Ring up a radio station, place the radio next to the telephone and then when you're on air, turn the volume of the radio up so that you get that awful feedback noise and deafen the fuckers that are listening in on your telephone conversation.

Failing that, get a white noise tape and blast that down the line at full volume or, play them some cheeky girls or some other such annoying singer.

Or, tell them loads of 'yo momma' jokes, they'll either burst into fits of laughter or threaten to kill you.

Has this method been tried and tested, I'd love to see the outcome. That would stop them listening into other peoples conversations, The nosey bastards!!
