that was certainly a quick response...

an it really pisses me off when I get calls on the moby from number not identified which goes onto the voicemail an then I have to pay to listen to the recording of some s**t tring to sell me something I don't want...

Moral of the story...

Be careful what person/company/website you give your number to.

Thinking on about this, my landline was totally spammed by a number from across for a period of about 3 days last week (20+ calls). Like ans, I never answer my landline and everyone that knows me knows to ring on my mobile (which I always answer).

Maybe it was the same crew.

I guess this subject could carry on for days.

but here is the quote"n fact, British Telecom (BT) - which owns Manx Telecom - is using the island as a test- bed"

and the link to the site

http://www.wirelessdevnet.com/channels/wireless/features/newsbyte22.html

and another "Manx Telecom, a subsidiary of BT, is building an experimental network on the island. The project, costing many tens of millions of pounds, is the most advanced test of mobile phones in the world. It has 22 cell sites, with a plan to expand to 28, and advanced radio planning and billing software."

and "The big problem with 3G remains how to pay for it. All the mobile phone networks see mobile data as being the answer but no-one has a convincing answer as to what people are going to use the data for. To this end 02 (nee BT Cellnet) which owns Manx Telecom has a developer arm called Expidas."

3 hours ago, David Roach said:

Consumer [spam link deleted by mod] contains demographic information on over 200 million consumers and is compiled from 350 different sources.

Strange that it doesn't load, probably just as well in fact!

Be careful with that link, it looks fishy!
