I'm enjoying this, I have no intention of hiding, that's why you can get my real name, phone and if you're really sad enough, my address (whois)

...and Rob isn't my name, but another ID that had it's day way back

If I stopped doing anything for every "NO" I'd stay in bed and slowly die a boring death

If you want to slag someone off but you're too scared to let the rest of the world know who you really are, you're pathetic - starting to sound like Rob Not on the manxnet forum now so I'll shut up :)

BTW, nice to have new members heh

For what reason is the poll so biased towards the self-employed?

Good on you if that's what you do and if you do it successfully, but at the moment the only option for me to send is the rather tasteless J.O.B. one which I refuse to do. Especially when I see my employment as a career, which gives me the potential of paid-for development and study leave, paid sick leave, paid holidays (and the option of unpaid leave), long service rewards, paid carer leave/compassionate leave, a bloody good pension scheme - and yes, it makes me wonder how all of that compares to what you have, Mr Apparently Wonderful.

Kindly explain why you have effectively excluded ppl like me from your poll. (I would think that we'd be in the majority - was that why?)

And if your fab and groovy job beats it, and really IS so fab and groovy, sign me up. Now ;)

Yep same here apart from the paid carer leave.

I'm going to pack all that in though and become a door to door salesman and in 3 to five years I'll be able to retire.

I know the poll is just a bit of fun, but I can see why people take exception to it........ perhaps the options could've been phrased a bit better so as not to seem quite so patronising to people who obviously don't have your entrepreneurial skills. Speaking of entrepreneurs, where is FCMR???

I like Kleeneeze (or what ever its called) - I hate supermarkets so its rather handy to have cleaning things (which aren't full of 'cancery things') delivered to my front door. They also sell fab Bees costumes....oh how I love my little old lady blanket, I bought a hat to match it at Glastonbury a few years ago, Hey presto High priestess of Pennard Hill, it was a fairly cosmic transformation.

I didnt think the thread was a 'big up' the author, I thought he/she was just curious...I was, I've no idea why though.

You purrry, you said a lot of things I didn't, you read into the poll what you wanted

Got a J.O.B. (just over broke)

Oh really?

I was just saying that my job didn't fit into any of your categories, and I was offended by the only option you had left for ppl like me - who are often very much NOT "just over broke" and besides that often have much more stable working conditions and t's&c's than you'll ever have.

TBH it just seems weird to me that you decide to have a go instead of just adding another option(s) to the poll? It wouldn't exactly take much - something along the lines of "I work for a conventional organisation/well-known employer" would suffice!

If that is going over your head as much as my original post did, can you simply just explain to how YOU think I should have voted? In fact, stick with that - just answer that bit. Please.

Edited for typo.

Spoke to him this morning, seems he has spent the last few days camping in the back of his van in Victoria street to avoid having to look for somewhere to park each day.
