Guest Rox Posted August 23, 2004 Posted August 23, 2004 Here are mine: Men in blue shirts Smelling dog's paws Swinging in a hammock Frozen grapes Can't think of any more right now.... Anyone else?
Bill Posters Posted August 23, 2004 Posted August 23, 2004 The smell of freshly laid tarmac The aroma of fresh coffee Freshly mown grass Those board marker thingies Freshly baked bread
Minnie Posted August 23, 2004 Posted August 23, 2004 The smell of new carpet and having someone twist and plait my hair.
Minnie Posted August 23, 2004 Posted August 23, 2004 Bite opposite corners off a Penguin biscuit, dip one corner into a cup of tea, suck the tea up through the other bitten off corner then put the biccie in your mouth. I know it's disgusting but it's yummy!
ykstarr Posted August 23, 2004 Posted August 23, 2004 drinking a gin and tonic and sitting in the sun on a hot summer's day, preferably by a pool
Observer Posted August 23, 2004 Posted August 23, 2004 Chucky stones/pebbles & big sticks on walks Cosy fires and candles Fry's Turkish Delight fresh out of the fridge Sound of running water Smell of baking (always someone else's as I mean to do it but hardly ever do!) Sound of babies/small children laughing, as it's so infectious, hearty & honest sounding * Oh.. and Mark :-) * Except he isn't silly (unless he wants to be) and falls into an 'exceptional like' category ;-)
Cret Posted August 23, 2004 Posted August 23, 2004 My other half. Standing/sitting at a beautiful spot off the beaten path, by myself, and just taking the view in and not thinking about anything whatsoever. The first cold pint of lager if I go out on a Friday night after not touching a drop all week. Nice weather. Horrible weather (sometimes). Going out of my way to be chivalrous with absolutely no incentive. Eating the top bit off a twix/double decker then eating the bottom bit. Tons more stuff.
Mission Posted August 23, 2004 Posted August 23, 2004 Ooh, there's loads (some of which have already been mentioned):- Freshly baked bread (the smell and taste) The smell of freshly cut grass The smell of a freshly painted room The smell of newly laid carpet The ubelievable sound at a Grand Prix The sound of a helicopter (I dunno why) The sight, sound and smell of the sea Likewise, the sound of the seaside (gulls etc) Having my feet tickled The taste of an ice cold beer after a hard days work The smell of a roast dinner cooking (especially roast lamb, with rosemary and garlic stuffed into the joint) There's probably more but that's all I can think of at the moment.
girl89 Posted August 23, 2004 Posted August 23, 2004 hearing my boyfriends voice, as he lives across hearing babies laugh or trying to talk the smell of other peoples baking men in suits someone messing, doing up my hair playing with a puppy or a kitten
