puddy Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 My family. A big man, preferably a lumberjack-type who can wrestle bears and run up mountains fighting baddies. He should come in handy. Men holding babies do it for me too. Walking for miles off the beaten track to places where I am completely alone. Stargazing. The first drink and cigarette on a night out with the girls.
MrsTrellisfromNorthWales Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 Counting Peugeots (something I genuinely do on almost every motorway journey) The number 4 The way parallel has two Ls parallel inside it My new friends at http://www.sauk.org/

Dave the Cardboard Box Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 Walking as recklessly as possible through gorse bushes and then several days later, using a pin or needle to pick out the now slightly festering points embedded, especially in fingertips.... Ditto with jinny nettles, sharp sudden pain is so good for you The number 8 The sharp slap of a cricket ball travelling at speed into your palm, and being secured as you miraculously dive full length and pull off the catch Green washing up bowls People with squints Silly things

purrrrrrrrrrry Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 Frozen grapes - yes! Strawberries, preferably marinated in fresh lime juice - yum! Freshly made freshly ground coffee. Green&Black's hot chocolate. Kittens - especially the smell at the back of their necks - gorgeous! Purring. (Usually!) The smell and feel of fresh bed linen. Taking forever in the bath. The hypnotic sound of waves crashing against the beach. Absent-mindedly realising that your breathing has become synchronised with the swelling and crashing of the waves. Not even noticing that you've got wet feet - again. Being awed by nature. Stopping and truly enjoying the moment, even if it's 2am and you're in the middle of nowhere and you really, really need to go home and sleep. Random acts of kindness, especially when anonymous and recipient not likely to be able to reciprocate. Reciprocating RAOK when received, as far as possible. Music. For so many reasons. The glow and flicker of candlelight. Moonlight. Starlight. The tingle of sunlight on bare skin. Lucid dreams. Being overwhelmed with awareness of the prescence of someone no longer on the earthly plane. Feeling truly loved, connected, known.
Guest Rox Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 I love hoovering up bits of grit. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I like hoovering up bits of grit too! It's so satisfying hearing all the noise as they fly up the tube making the whole world clean again. We would have been so suited if only you'd had a bigger eclair. :/ I love hosing as well. Give me a length of hose with an adjustable noozle and I'm quiet for hours. I'll hose anything; the yard, the walls, the windows, the pavement, the gutter, the drains, the cat....... Love it.
