Grumble Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 Spreading random gravel where they skateboard. Phoning Crimestoppers when they make a noise. Driving through puddles at bus stops. Driving in the fog with no lights on. Doing 25mph up the Mountain mile and holding the boy racers up. Hiding her bottle of gin...
RC-Drift.com Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 - Running in the dark - The sound of summer rain on leaves - Walking in the pouring rain in summer - The sound of swallows - Singing Skylarks - The sound of a slight breeze in your ear on a warm summers day - A racing V8 engine on full song - Washing my hair in the morning - Sitting in a boat offshore on a still summer day with no sound from land - A clear new moon night when you can see all the stars - Frosty mornings when all is still - Shiny new conkers - Chocolate straight from the fridge (cadburys of course!) - The smell of petrol - A good sh.t - The colour yellow - The number 2
Dave the Cardboard Box Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 Frozen grapes - yes! Strawberries, preferably marinated in fresh lime juice - yum! Freshly made freshly ground coffee. Green&Black's hot chocolate. Kittens - especially the smell at the back of their necks - gorgeous! Purring. (Usually!) The smell and feel of fresh bed linen. Taking forever in the bath. The hypnotic sound of waves crashing against the beach. Absent-mindedly realising that your breathing has become synchronised with the swelling and crashing of the waves. Not even noticing that you've got wet feet - again. Being awed by nature. Stopping and truly enjoying the moment, even if it's 2am and you're in the middle of nowhere and you really, really need to go home and sleep. Random acts of kindness, especially when anonymous and recipient not likely to be able to reciprocate. Reciprocating RAOK when received, as far as possible. Music. For so many reasons. The glow and flicker of candlelight. Moonlight. Starlight. The tingle of sunlight on bare skin. Lucid dreams. Being overwhelmed with awareness of the prescence of someone no longer on the earthly plane. Feeling truly loved, connected, known. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Blinking heck! I suppose green washing up bowls and squinty people are out of the question then?
Furry Mongoose Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 PS Bars Heavy rain when you've got no coat Hugs Back tickles Waking up in the morning with a mongoose next to me Loud music Stroking my cats Looking at the sea

I suppose green washing up bowls and squinty people are out of the question then? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have a green washing up bowl. It's actually very subtely metallic - you got all breathless yet?? I do mean subtle though, not a totally camp "here I am!" mad glittery bowl thing going on, but if it were then hey! Why not? Why only last week I was considering zebra-print, pink maribou marigolds. But something about them just screams UGHHHHH - those things just need to be basic and disposable - verrrrry disposable. At least in was in a this-will-make-housework-fun kinda way, but then the last time I decided to make housework fun it resulted in an ever-attentive male and very little work on my part Perfect! I do have a bit of a "thing" about mens hands and arms though. Not covered in Marigolds this time though - just as a study of anatomy and general attraction - yummmmmmm...... Can't define it, don't want to define it... Just love it...

Swearing at my kids Swearing at my parents Leaving nails in the road so as to cause punctures and er,,,,, warm grapes? (Bugger - Just scanned the list, and they are all true except the vomit one)
