Cret Posted August 26, 2004 Posted August 26, 2004 - Sitting in a boat offshore on a still summer day with no sound from land <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Dude, do you want to come out fishing sometime then? Even if not fishing when I go out to sea there's usually someone that comes along just to enjoy the scenery/peace & quiet (squawking shoythawks aside). A controversial one here perhaps but I'm going to say it anyway. Going out at this sort of time of year and gathering some magic mushrooms with a couple of close friends, then enjoying a night camping out by a fire, listening to music, laughing, and appreciating just how great the great outdoors is even more than I normally do. If you don't approve that's ok and I don't want the whole sensible/not sensible argument (and they're legal when you eat them fresh anyway), it's just one of those things I do once a year and don't need to as such, but it's interesting and is a pleasant experience to appreciate with people who you really get on with. Sort of in a way that I intend to look back on in later years when I no longer bother and just enjoy reminisce, remenising, oh pants, remembering something just slightly different from the usual kind of banal/robotic going out weekly & getting drunk kind of thing.
monkey_magic Posted August 27, 2004 Posted August 27, 2004 Not realising until today that it's a bank holiday on Monday.
Guest Rox Posted August 27, 2004 Posted August 27, 2004 You and me both. I've just looked at my electronic diary. Ecstatic to see that I have the WHOLE day free without any appointments and have already decided on all the work I'm going to get caught up with and NOW I find I have to take a holiday instead? Ah well. Who needs to catch up anyway. It's never a good sign.
RC-Drift.com Posted August 27, 2004 Posted August 27, 2004 DtheCB, didn't you miss out: Pushing in a queue Playing around with the new tones on your mobile in a cinema Farting in a restaurant Belching in church Smoking in the works canteen Cret cheers for the offer, I don't have any fishing gear now and no time, so I'll keep the memories - they last until senility sets in, oh and you've got mail!
puddy Posted August 27, 2004 Posted August 27, 2004 Being left alone in the office and spinning round on everyone's chairs. The small things are gonna please me today I think...
RC-Drift.com Posted August 27, 2004 Posted August 27, 2004 Watching the wing move the grass around in fields like a turbulent sea The sound of a WW2 fighter plane A flag flapping in a strong wind Being under cover of a plastic sheet in a downpour
monkey_magic Posted August 27, 2004 Posted August 27, 2004 Chasing cigarettes stubs down the holes in gents urinals.
Guest Rox Posted August 27, 2004 Posted August 27, 2004 I've always had a bit of penis envy over those sorts of things. Part of my 'hose' fascination I think - although I'm sure Freud (Sigmund not Clement) would have made something more of it altogether.
Speckled Frost Posted August 27, 2004 Posted August 27, 2004 Do you think male pot-holers suffer from an acute case of vagina envy?
