Motorcycle Training/test

I was just wondering if anyone knows if there are any motorcycle instructors that provide bike / insurance / (excuse the pun!) crash course to test - on the island?

Any other info about theory test etc. would be great.

Ring the Isle of Man College to book theory test (think it's a lady called Jane Emery you need to speak to). Held Saturday mornings at the College and some evenings at Ramsey Grammar School and Castle Rushen High School. You can loan a disc to use on pc with sample tests and questions, it's pretty good from what people have told me.

You need to do the theory test as mentioned above. You must get 30 questions correct out of 35, within 40 minutes.

As of tomorrow you must also undertake CBT training before you can ride by yourself or if you have not already passed.

After doing the theory test and passing you can then apply for your practical test.

I think several bike instructors do intensive courses so best bet is to look in the yellow pages for instructors then ring them.

I was going to learn to ride earlier this year, but never got round to it. I only got as far as picking up a yellow leaflet from the coffee machine in Road & Track, and cos I'm dead lazy I still have it on my desk next to me.

Bridge Motorcycle Tuition - tel 614299 or 677364, or email andybridgens at manx dot net.

Usually a 6 hour course, £20 per hour with your own bike or £22 per hour with theirs.
