loaf Posted July 2, 2004 Posted July 2, 2004 Were you in the group stood by the doorway? I was sat 4 foot away, in the bay of the window next to the attractive lady. I was stood by the door at one point, yes. (I wasn't drinking though)
Declan Posted July 2, 2004 Posted July 2, 2004 I heard it. It was funny. Though the funniest line was where the guy goes "It's the Richard and Subjudice" and my computor immediately decided to start buffering (whatever that is) and caused a gap in the broadcast.
Declan Posted July 2, 2004 Posted July 2, 2004 Probably the Government's internet monitoring software (Gerald) having a coronary at the mention of Springfield.
Grumble Posted July 2, 2004 Posted July 2, 2004 A bloke called into the Mannin Line complaining about it was going to take up 20 minutes of the precious phone-in. Otherwise I wouldn't have known it was due on, as I was at work. Then I had it on in the car and nearly crashed at the Richard and Sub-Judice Show bit...it sounded clear as day on the radio, and I don't think anyone CAN censor a streaming live broadcast. Possibly your computers have got a sense of humour too... Hope Manx Radio have got lots of advertising lined up - strikes me as a brave move considering they have to go to Tynwald to get the money to buy Tippex!
Declan Posted July 2, 2004 Posted July 2, 2004 No it was just that it began buffering at that precise moment - it picked up with the next bit so nothing was missed.
Ripsaw Posted July 2, 2004 Posted July 2, 2004 July 1st, 5:55pm; There were a couple of bits that will be edited out for the broadcast... July 1st, 6:34pm; I'm sad to admit that I sussed the Kelly's Eye skit within 10 words, but it didn't disapoint D'ohhhhhh
Barri Garru Posted July 5, 2004 Posted July 5, 2004 I were there, in real person type of thing. Very enjoyable. I heard the broadcast and couldn't remember much having been taken out. Unfortunately it doesn't appear to be in Manx Radios Audio Vault for Friday and Sunday. Stu said If you can't listen live via the Manx Radio website, I'm sure a compressed version of the programme will be stored for a week in the Audio Vault at the same site. Edited to add: Maybe it was "pulled" as it is, after all, our National Week. We can't have political satire whilst them up there are basking in their egos and glory. I'm listening to Tynwald on the Radio right now and chuckling just thinking of the Tynwald Day sketch. Heh, heh.
