SteveG Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 SNAP! It's turning out to be a real headscratcher this one isn't it? I tried running the numbers the other way to see if that helped - they look even more like clock times that way but still nothing. 0000 0201 0210 2300 1030 0300 Another thought I had was that they were odometer readings or a timer / countdown but again, nothing came of it. I even reversed them to see if that threw anything up:- 012000 303220 030100 000010 Running out of ideas here - mind you I thought that yesterday and still came up with a few things to try today. Nothing out there in google land and the creator is being very quiet too - not a good sign really, day 1 and we get 14 answers and day 2 produces nothing at all. No-one seems to be able to work out Floor 14!
b4mbi Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 thanks for the floor 13 tips to everyone 14 is a nightmare..... just as stuck as everyone else!
Miss Take Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 Answer to floor 4 anyone? R???B?V Yes, I know I'm crap.
Miss Take Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 Think spectrum. Many thanks - no doubt I'll be asking for number 5 very soon
Miss Take Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 ***Cut to - very soon*** My brain just doesn't work in this fashion - I like logic, not lateral thinking what's the answer to number 5? 1??3?8?
Miss Take Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 I'd give up now to be honest pssst, slim......I won't tell everyone you're trying to get the answers from the forums on unfiction.com if you let me know the answer to number 5 That is, assuming that slimbo / slimbod is your cunning new pseudonym?
xbones Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 It's a very famous sequence, where the next number is the sum of the two preceding it.
Miss Take Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 It's a very famous sequence, where the next number is the sum of the two preceding it. I owe you one. Famous amongst whom, exactly? Now up to 14 with the rest of you It's not something to do with music is it?
b4mbi Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 It's not something to do with music is it? LOL! We don't know!!!!!! I was thinking maybe positions in a race of some kind ?? No clue at all really
integer Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 Just had a look with a fresh head. Noticed there are 3 ones, 3 twos and 3 threes (and 15 zeroes). Still no answer though...
integer Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 and we are now the 3rd result if you google "skyscraper quiz"
SteveG Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 Still battling with Floor 14 here. The creator gave a little clue as to how it might be solved (not the same puzzle, but based on the same theme) so I did some digging and came up with this which I think may refer to what he was hinting at:- clicky Looking at it, I'm guessing that the numbers represent a musical note, which in turn represents a colour. Now the question is, how to work them out - I've tried googling it but not found anything easy to decipher it with. Anyone else want to have a go at it? Oh, and whilst searching for his clue, I inadvertently found the answer to Floor 42
SteveG Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 RE: Floor 14 Not really sure if these help or not but they looked somewhat promising so I thought I'd post them up anyway:- Arrangement of keys in a keyboard Key # Key color Frequency (Hz) Name 1 White 240 C 2 Black 254 C # (D b) 3 White 269 D 4 Black 285 D # (E b) 5 White 302 E 6 White 320 F 7 Black 338.5 F # (G b) 8 White 358.5 G 9 Black 380 G # (A b) 10 White 402 A 11 Black 426 A # (B b) 12 White 451 B Also this:- clicky Scroll down for Visual Hierarchical Key Analysis fig.3 onwards. It's all beyond me but it looked promising so maybe someone with a greater understanding of it could apply it to the problem. The other thing I came up with this afternoon was synesthesia and it's various forms but again, it's beyond my understanding so not sure if I'm on the right track or not. This quiz seems to be shaping up as a right geek off and that's just not me to be honest, I'm not that academically smart, I just seem to be able to find stuff via other means so I'll keep popping things up as and when I find them if I can't actually solve the Floor passwords. As stated before, if anyone else has any ideas (no matter how unlikely you think they might be) pop them up and maybe, just maybe it'll flick a switch with someone else.
