summers gotton colder,

even the brightest trees,

have grown dull.

ive shed the final petal.

shes still as sweet..

im thankful now,

i dont have to,

live a life of two parts,

im thankful now,

i dont have to waste away,

waiting for the day,

when you carve her name into my heart.

 

maybe its time,

we carried our own burdens,

ill take that weight,

i never put upon your shoulders.

you dont have to "worry" for me anymore.

you cant cure something,

thats already dead.

just feed it false hopes,

light it up,

and watch it burn.
