bluemonday Posted April 12, 2008 Posted April 12, 2008 Been given this as a present. Excellent book. Tempted to get his CD Rom Dictionary of Shipwrecks. Anyone got that? Is it worth getting?
Cret Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 Was wondering the same thing as I have the book and it's very interesting. As I understand it the CD is primarily useful for those wanting to actually go out and locate said wrecks although I've done ok so far with the book.
maggle Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 The CD doesn't contain any positon info but does contain more of the older wrecks that are now broken up beyond recognition. The benefit of the CD is that the data, dictionary.pdf, is very portable
bluemonday Posted April 26, 2008 Author Posted April 26, 2008 Re Passages on the beach at Jurby head. ( Page 244 ) Pretty impressive remains in the photo. Is it still like that? That's the first one I'd like to see this year. Anyway been there recently?
Cret Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 The CD doesn't contain any positon info Really? Apologies - I must have got my wires crossed. Very interesting book though.
bluemonday Posted May 6, 2008 Author Posted May 6, 2008 Walked along to the wreck of the Passages yesterday. Heck of a lot of sea mist about but well worth the walk.
