Sweet little bird who stole my heart

Aggressive eagle who tore me apart

My own little lady with elegant grace

The devil with an angelic face

 

Cherubic demeanour stylish chic

Talons that tear, havoc they wreak

A perfect smile, entrancing lips

Canine teeth rend, shredding me to bits

 

Words of love you utter with skill

Poisonous prose venomously kills

Enchanting eyes that glitter with life

Rapier tongue cuts like a knife

 

Now I can see your good and your bad

I thank you for the good times we had

It’s time to move on, leave the past behind

Please Mother Nature, to this poor soul be kind
