ans Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 http://www.cuil.com/info/ Oops! We couldn’t find that page. Please verify that the URL is correct and try again. Doesn't bode well...
Miss Take Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Looks like they fixed it already. We’ll be back soon... Due to overwhelming interest, our Cuil servers are running a bit hot right now. The search engine is momentarily unavailable as we add more capacity. Thanks for your patience. ...or not.
SteveP Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 too s-l-o-w.... It claims to index more pages than Google, yet doesn't return any results for lots of searches that Google pulls up relevant things for. How does that work then? Oh, and where's my Mail? Documents? Calendar? Google FTW!

Owen Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 It claims to index more pages than Google, yet doesn't return any results for lots of searches that Google pulls up relevant things for. How does that work then? It's easy to have more pages in your index if you don't clear out duplicates and spam sites. Agreed, Google seems to be more relevant for now, but they've had quite some time to refine their search and Cuil is still in beta. If they get the funding and improve their relevance they could be an interesting alternative ... it's certainly more interesting than what the other mainstream search engines have come up with (Yahoo/MSN Live etc) I still have a soft spot for http://www.searchme.com/ .. have you guys tried it? -------------------- Tech Blog - WordPress Guru - Business Blog - ManxFriends Profile Got a Manx website: Submit it on SearchMann - Catch me on Twitter or Facebook
