Mutley Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 80mil for a player that you could see his heart wasnt in it this season most of the time. Yeah take a look at video of goal celebrations (26 this season), the final whistle at OT and the celebrations after winning the PL, and you can see the reactions of a player who's heart wasn't in it.
monkey magic Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 All the best to him he's gone to the club he supported as a boy, he'll find out though the grass isn't always greener on the other side
K.os Theory Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 wow £80million quid, Utd could buy newcastle now!
monkey magic Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 Funny Liverpool fans getting so giddy thinking this is the “end of united” it’s a bit like when they say “this is our year” It’s been the “end” plenty of times before 1995 – Hughes, Kanchelskis & Ince leave – 1996 do the double, 1997 League champions 1997 – Cantona leaves – 1999 do the treble, 2000 league & intercontinental champions, 2001, league champions 2006 – Van Nistelrooy leaves – 2007 league champions, 2008 league & European champions, 2009 league & world champions 2009 – Ronaldo leaves - ????
Tugger Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 Funny Liverpool fans getting so giddy thinking this is the “end of united” LOL where exactly are they saying that? I can't see any such posts. Once again, for Man U fans, it's all about Liverpool
monkey magic Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 not seen it on posts here but i've had plenty of emails this mornin from liverpool fans statin that. 80m for someone who doesn't want to play for you ain't a bad deal really
Nosferatu Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 wow £80million quid, Utd could buy newcastle now! Lol I was thinking a similar thing . I mean I know that the little twat is good but even he couldn't win on his own against our lot . It'd probably be quite close though
manxman8180 Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 Hardly a surprise is it? Last year we knew that Fergie would allow him to go, if he gave them one more year. Didn't expect to get £80 million though. Nice.
Declan Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 Great move by United. They won the title because they were able through players like Ronaldo to create a unstoppable force which rolled over defences. But towards the end of the season a flaw emerged that allowed a good but not great Liverpool team to get closer to United than they should and Barcalona to win the Champions League. The dramatic surge United can produce masked this flaw mostly but Liverpool, Barca and even a well organised team like Fulham exploited it. Essentially, the Centre Backs are vulnerable to a quick and accurate ball over the top to feet and more importantly United lacked the type of holding midfield player (like Massacherano say) that breaks up the otherside's possession. Now it wasn't a major issue last seasion but as more and more teams spot and exploit this and also buy the type of defensive forward that Kyut, Rooney and Park have become to counteract the offensive fullbacks like Cole and United's surge, it's likely to be next. Unless Hargreaves returns fit and playing at a higher level. But if I can spot this, you can bet Fergie can. This is step one in him rejigging his tactics to wrong foot the other managers. The Old Bugger!
jack bauer's brother Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 Good riddence to the arrogant diving drama queen, yeah great talent but one horrable little shit so much for I WOULDNT SELL THEM A VIRUS and I WILL BE AT OLD TRAFFORD NEXT SEASON its certainly not the end yet for man poo that will come when the purple nosed one retires but it is the start.
Mr. Sausages Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 I think any club would rather have him in the team than not. edit - hopefully they'll focus the team around Rooney again now.
P.K. Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 So Kaka wasn't a world record transfer for very long! Both in the Real lineup is going to make them pretty formidable.
the mo beats experience Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 Agreed, good money, would've loved him to stay but there ya go. Can't see anyone already at the club to take over the number 7 so i should imagine he'll be replaced. Hopefully Rooney can take the mantle again now he's not in the shadow, and hope Tevez gets signed up now too. Love reading the haters with all the jibes too, he was one of the best players to ever play in england and he'll be missed, whether loved or loathed. I'll bet we get Madrid at some point in the Champs League next season.
