What a great insight.... Quote

Don't think that version made it onto the EJ album. Not sure how I’d previously missed it. Brilliant 1 Quote

Shake me up Judy Posted June 13 Posted June 13 He gave a masterclass on Bowie's Aladdin Sane album but here he is on Elton's Madman Across the Water. Wonderful stuff from Ronson and Elton was at his best here before he became a superstar: 3 Quote

Shake me up Judy Posted June 13 Posted June 13 Bowie's best albums in my opinion were with Ronson, not only as a musician, but occasional orchestrator, arranger and producer. The biggest mistake Bowie made was to turn his back on him. They never worked together again. Despite collaborations with many big names, Mick's career never really took off as it should've done and he died relatively young. 1 Quote

Depends how you look at it - he might not be under-rated in your house, but plenty of people don’t seem to be aware of him. (Maybe I should have typed “plenty of people under a certain age…”). Quote

Look at Transformer. In theory they co-produced it: but Ronson had more to do with the sound of that album as arranger / musician / string section writer than Bowie did as producer. 1 Quote
