Observer Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 It is immediately apparent to anybody reading the thread that the initial remark was spoken in jest - after which, you yourself were also in agreement. It is easy to interpret and 'read between the lines' - it is not defammatory or potentially libellous and did not amount to personal abuse.
crumlin Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 I agree with having moderators on any forum they are needed, but a Moderator has to be seen as independant and not biast. If a complaint is made by one person then that person should have the same right as any othet person that complains. If I was to say that there was plenty of apples left in the orchard after the farmer went to bed, help yourself would that not been the wrong thing to say. Would you then remove that statement. Many examples have been made when one persons posts are deleted on the grounds of non factual when other are left up that are pure xxxx. Its an easy way out to say if you dont like it post somewere else, you want a good forum prove it and show more fairness.
Speckled Frost Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 You have to look at the context of a post and not just the contents. The moderators know who you are and you posting history in other sites. You have an agenda, Zephyr doesn't.
FCMR Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 Not knowing whats been deleted from news forums, I do know how Crumlin feels,it seems that all, that nearly all that Crumlin posts are picked on by one person. It looks to me that we have a clash of personalities or that the moderator is very close to a topical person. If Crumlin finds that the comment made in jest is disturbing him, he should report it and the moderators should take the respectfull action to remove
ans Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 The moderators had already discussed the posts prior to him reporting it and, with one exception, nobody wanted the comment removed. I would suggest you actually make yourself aware of the content of his posts before passing judgement. Close to a topical person? Would you care to expand on that? I'm intrigued as to who I know that's topical. You can even PM me it if you don't want to make a berk of yourself in public.
Observer Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 If we removed everything that everybody found upsetting - there wouldn't be much left on the boards. Chuft is making an example of this thread - if you bother to read the first page you will see that it was already sorted out. I am not aware of any underlying personal issues and I, personally, remain unbiased.
FCMR Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 I dont need to hide behind a PM, and I thought I told you that I can not be drawn into a certain topic. But if you go back to the other web site you attacked a poster every time a persons name was mentioned. As for being a Berk, I dont think so, I post under my own name, and I dont make public statements on forums that my wife was dead, so lets cut out the bullshit. Keep an open outlook on the forums and gain the respect that others would like to wreck.
ans Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 Lol, you actually think I am in some way connection to Ned? I read that once on Blue Rinse Chat too, I forget who said it. I have no idea how that particular gem started but I can assure you, it's not true. Never met the guy, doubt I ever will. Have you considered suing your parents for christening you 'FMCR' btw? Must be a bitch to pronounce. Can you show us how you say it phonetically please? Thanks awfully. As for the comment about my wife being dead? It was in reply to the comment offered by chuft that she was down Bushys tent offering free head. And you have the audacity to talk about respect? Especially considering the personal abuse I had to delete about a political figure from your angelic fingers the other day. People in glass houses sunshine....
FCMR Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 God Ans that took you some time to sing, I dont think you have anything to do with a certain topical person, but others do or did. And its FCMR look at the little picture of the bike for what it stands for. Have you ever seen the size of that lovely lady in the House of Keys, she should be in the Muppets
ans Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 I dont think you have anything to do with a certain topical person You said this "It looks to me that we have a clash of personalities or that the moderator is very close to a topical person." So if you don't think it's Ned, then who is it? Come on, let's stand up and be counted here. Not that you generally need any help, but you're looking pretty stupid right now.
Tee Posted July 16, 2004 Author Posted July 16, 2004 But if you go back to the other web site you attacked a poster every time a persons name was mentioned. Thats because it was becoming tedious! bit like what this is now really.
FCMR Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 I have Told you I cant be drawn into a certain topic, have your fight with Crumlin. Stand up and be counted you said, post under your own name I say. As for suing my parents, they are both D&B, now whos looking stupid Tee I replied to a post with my view, but as usual it turns into a slagging match, are we not friendly in here.
Tee Posted July 16, 2004 Author Posted July 16, 2004 You? I would of sued them when alive wont get much if they're dead.
ans Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 I have Told you I cant be drawn into a certain topic Then don't post insinuations you don't have the balls to back up. *kisses*
