Phobias

I'm pretty scared of the dark, and spiders, and flying daddy long legs!

Flying daddy long legs! Yes, and they can get caught up in your hair! Oh NO! Any flying insect that gets caught up in my long hair will send me into a frenzy (like those big black flying beetles that buzz so loudly)... even now thinking about it makes me panicky!

I suppose its not really a 'phobia' in the proper sense, but its definitely something that gets a major overreaction from me. No thank you!

I've been known to make quite a fool of myself in the past when there's been a flying daddy long legs near me! :(

I am scared of being 'told off' I try to be good but often fail and then worry myself sick about being 'into trouble'

Tee, bees are not a problem, if they sting you they die, so they generally dont sting unless provoked, and if you dont like em you are hardly going to call them names and stuff. Wasps on the otherhand are nasty little feckers, they just go round stinging people all day, every day - evil gits

....particularly at the end of the summer when they are drunk on all the apple cider.....

Bees may not sting  but they're  huge and go buzzzz   thats bad enough as it is.

If it's huge things that go buzzzzzz that frighten you, you betta steer clear of a certain "lyngerie" shop in town, Tee! ;)

Does anyone remember the film "Arachnaphobia"? I went to see it at the pics with a mate and towards the end the bloke has a spade raised above his shoulder, ready to clout the spider, and the big huge spider is crawling down the handle of th spade. My mate jumped up out of her seat, in the middle of a jam-packed cinema and screamed "Omigod, it's on your spade!" How embarrassed was I!!!

I have a terrible fear of quicksand.

It all stems from when I was a little girl and we were told the story about how a long time ago a farmer, his horse and cart sank in quicksand and died on the beach from Ramsey to Bride. We used to play there all the time when we were kids and the jelly-like clay sand terrifies me. I won't go near it and have been known to scream at people when they let themselves sink a little to scare me. I make myself go down there quite a lot and do feel a lot more confident about walking along the beach now.

I'm not really bothered about creepy crawlies anymore, as long as anything big stays away from my bedroom. I had a big May Bug in my bedroom a few weeks ago buzzing around like a b@st@rd. I pick up May Bugs outside and roll them over when they fall on their backs, I've even picked up one in the living room before, they don't bother me then. But put one of them in my bedroom (or bathroom) when it's just me in there and I turn soft and run outside in a state of panic.
