DRIVER Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 Slicks should give 8/10% gain and wets about the same in lost time so 120 + should be possible in the right conditions and over 100 if wet Hope pondy is watching from above ..

RC-Drift.com Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 Before this thread goes off on a tangent of normal people v the whingers, noone has anymore info on it being shown then. Is he doing a lap tomorrow ? Im sure I read somewhere the next try is on slicks as well. If he cracks 120mph that will be something else. 20% improvement even
spanna Posted June 8, 2011 Author Posted June 8, 2011 Jesus I didnt realise the scooby was nearly completely stock! What could a race prepared saloon car do then?
Nosferatu Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 Aye, I couldnt give two hoots about the TT but am now looking into where I can pop down to on friday just to see Higgins bomb past. I reckon they should use a thursday as a car race day. Get the big rally or touring cars or something. Yeah, instead of just bike nutters throwing themselves off the roads all over the joint, we'd have car nutters doing the same. I can see it now, all the cars on their roofs in the fields along the mountain path... Yes this is an awesome idea. /sarcasm. Maybe we should stop all forms of rallying over here as well. And stay indoors drinking tea and eating crumpets with a nice safe cushion. Best not take any chances with the cushion , people might be allergic to the down inside it , or get accidentally smothered or fall off it , I think we should just sit carefully on the floor in a nice padded room until all the nasty bikes go home .
Monkey boy Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 No, no ,no. You can't be encouraging people to sit, they might get piles. They should stand, not upright enough so they might fall over and hurt themselves, but upright enough so they don't get a sore back, I think that's the safest option all round, & FFS don't mention motorbikes, these crazy fuckers may get ideas of going out and riding them!!!
Nosferatu Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 Best tie them to some sort of suppotring board thing so they don't fall over . Not too tightly though wouldn't want to cut off circulation or anything .
Tempus Fugit Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 c'mon, someone must have video at the bottom of Bray Hill sounds like it was 'interesting'
spanna Posted June 9, 2011 Author Posted June 9, 2011 why what happened? Does anyone know what speed he did today? theres nothing on the iomtt twitter feed.
Bobbie Bobster Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 why what happened? Does anyone know what speed he did today? theres nothing on the iomtt twitter feed. 20m 20s -ish. "big tank slapper" at the bottom of Bray Hill, "thought it wasn't going to come back" IIRC.
Tempus Fugit Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 why what happened? Does anyone know what speed he did today? theres nothing on the iomtt twitter feed. 110mph lap but hit a bump at the bottom of Bray @ 150mph and had the biggest tank slapper he's ever had, so he told MRTT when he got to the finish somebody's gotta have video (but probably want big bucks for it !)
RC-Drift.com Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 How can you have a tank slapper in a car? ...it's like a woman complaining something is a real ballache
Tempus Fugit Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 How can you have a tank slapper in a car? ...it's like a woman complaining something is a real ballache it's what he said ! ... but ... can you have a car slapper in a tank ? not sure where this is going with slappers he should have left her behind
